Su Casa Taqueria

Su Casa 2

One of my co-workers has been telling me about a taco truck to check out for a long time. It’s a little tricky to find but my son and I ventured out a few Saturdays ago to find Su Casa Taqueria.

Su Casa is in a little parking lot on 82nd just south of Burnside. It’s low frills dining but well worth a stop. We ordered from the truck then took a seat in the mini shelter right next door. I decided to try the taco plate which came to a whopping $6.50. I went for carne asada, barbacoa and a pollo. My did his usual…carne asada burritto.

Aside from the tacos, my plate came with rice, beans, grilled onions, radishes and a grilled jalapeño. Everything was tasty on my plate and my son wiped out his burrito in no time. My only complaint was that the barbacoa was a little over done and seemed a bit dried out.

I’d definitely go back the next time the urge hits for Mexican and I want to stay in the hood. It’s cash only and there’s no ATM nearby so come prepared. Super nice guys running the truck.
