Have you ever walked into a place and known right off the bat you were going to really enjoy it? That was my experience when I walked into Trinket for the first time.
I took a mental health day a few Fridays ago and decided it was time to pay a visit to Trinket. Breakfast is a relatively rare treat for me. One of the great perks to Trinket is that they are open for brunch 7 days a week 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. I was the first person in the door but it didn’t take long for people to start trickling in.
One of the first things to catch your eye is the chandelier made from horns. I suspect that’s an artifact from the previous restaurant, Roosevelt. Trinket is a relatively small restaurant but I found it comfortable and cozy. It was a wet and dreary kind of morning-the perfect kind of day for sitting near the window, sipping on a hot cup of coffee and watching the world speed by.
I’m hash man so I had to try the special hash of the day: Broccolini, Delicata Squash, Roasted Garlic, Potatoes, Onions and Sausage. The sausage was house made and it was delicious.
They have a formidable cocktail list that I really need to explore. I’ve also read good things about their eggs benedict, waffle and french toast.
I’ve only got one visit under my belt but I can’t wait to return for another in the near future.
