Jack Garratt-Remnants EP

A few months ago, I stumbled across a tweet from Fink mentioning just seeing Jack Garratt finishing up a festival set and how well it went. I was intrigued to learn more about Mr. Garratt so I promptly looked him up and found his first EP, Remnants. I was instantly hooked on first listen. Since that time, I’ve enjoyed following him on Facebook and seeing where his career goes.

Tonight, I came across a moving performance of “I Couldn’t Want You Anyway” at Reading 2014. It’s the quieter side of Jack Garratt but pretty darn striking.

He gives me a little bit of a Chet Faker vibe which is probably what got me hooked in the first place. Here’s a live performance of “Worry.” It’s pretty amazing to watch him do keyboards, percussion, guitar and vocals all at the same time.

I can’t find a lot of information on him but he is definitely making a name for himself. He is one artist to keep an eye on-give him a listen!

Got any new artists that you’ve discovered? Post away!
